I would pick and choose, reordering chapters for my students to teach more holistically, so comp methodology has grammar embedded in it. That’s fine with me as it makes accessing those sections easy, but I would not teach these chapters chronologically. Grammar comes first in the table of contents. I am most likely to use it for a “higher level” developmental writing course. Maybe a bit simple for freshman writing, but I would consider using it in a comp 101 course and supplementing with my own materials.
